to Add to Calendar 2023-02-23 08:00:00 2023-05-04 11:30:00 Dispatch Academy Spring 2023 Attached is a flyer for our Public Safety Dispatch class.  We have made some minor format revisions that we think will be beneficial.   The class will now run as an academic class, which means participants will come away with 5 academic credit hours they can apply to a degree plan.  We have also shifted the schedule to a half-day (virtually) per week for to lighten the burden we know Communication Centers around the state are already working under.  We have grouped topics to cover those that require live interaction during the 3 1/2 hours a week (live online) they are together.  These are content areas where we believe the students need to interact with the instructor and their peers.  The remaining topics are covered through readings, videos and assignments (some of which are group work) that can be completed asynchronously over the course of the week.  We anticipate they will need about 10 hours of out of class time to complete this work, but it can be spread over the week.  It is our hope that this will give students time to reflect on the topics and come back to richer discussions of the issues.  We also hope it will alleviate the challenges of pulling someone off the floor/radio/training for two full weeks.   Location Agency Platform - Standard [email protected] America/Phoenix public
